Paleo Beef Steak Recipe
What is Paleo Beef?
The paleo diet is a dietary plan based on the types of foods that would have been available to humans during the Paleolithic era, which lasted from approximately 2.5 million to 10,000 years ago. The diet is based on the idea that humans are better suited to eating the types of foods that were available during this time period, rather than the highly processed foods that are commonly consumed today.
Beef that is considered paleo-compliant is typically grass-fed and finished, meaning that the cows were raised eating grass rather than grain and other feed. This is believed to be more in line with the types of food that would have been available to humans during the Paleolithic era, as well as being more nutritious than grain-fed beef. Additionally, paleo beef should be free of any added hormones, antibiotics and other artificial ingredients.
