This is my mother’s ham spaghetti recipe. I think you folks will like this, it combines a cheesy sauce, with ham, pesto, black pepper served over spaghetti noodles. My grandmother taught this recipe to my mother, and my mother cooked this up when I was a kid back in the 50s in the 60s and I loved it. It would not be something I will eat every day probably too many calories. I did substitute the wine with water but this is pretty much how she did it. These Are The Ingredients You Will Need To Make This Ham Spaghetti
16 1/2 of ounces of Virginia ham.
16 ounces of dried spaghetti noodles.
4 cloves of garlic.
Quarter cup of vegetable oil.
16 ounces of white button mushrooms.
4 tablespoons of white flour.
16 ounce can of chopped tomatoes.
8 ounces of water.
16 ounces of mozzarella cheese.
2 tablespoons of jarred pesto sauce.
1/2 tablespoon of black pepper.
3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
Cooking Instructions For Ham Spaghetti
These are the cooking instructions for making this incredible ham spaghetti recipe. The first step is to take care 16 1/2 ounces of Virginia ham, a few tablespoons of vegetable oil, and your 16 ounces of white button mushrooms, under medium heat cook these off for about 10 minutes. While you’re doing this, get a stockpot, add 6 cups water and bring it to a boiling roll. Once the water is boiling add a 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Put your spaghetti into the boiling water and cook the pasta
for 10 minutes to bring it to the directions on your package of spaghetti. Once the spaghetti is cooked al dente, drain it, and place it in a colander to stop the cooking process. Now remove the ham and mushroom mixture, and set it aside in a bowl. Now it’s time to make the roux for your cheese sauce. Start out in a fry pan and add vegetable oil, and 4 tablespoons of flour. Cook this roux up until it is a light brown. Then add the ham and mushroom mixture to the roux along with 8 ounces of water. At this point putting your 16 ounce chopped tomatoes, and 16 ounces of mozzarella cheese, which will produce a nice cheese sauce. Next step in this recipe is to spice this cheese sauce
up with the 2 ounces of jarred pesto sauce, and 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper. Once it is cooked for about five more minutes, you can plate this Ham spaghetti by putting about 4 ounces of spaghetti, and ladling the ham spaghetti sauce onto the spaghetti.
