- 1/4 cup Flour
- 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- 1 White Onion
- 8 oz Fresh Baby Bella Mushrooms
- 1 Tablespoon Crushed Garlic
- 5 Tablespoons Cooking Oil
- 1/2 Stick Butter
- 1/2 Cup Red or Port Wine
- 5 Rounds Black Pepper
- 1/8 cup of Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Parsley

This is The Bald Chef’s recipe to cook great Smothered Pork Chops. Mix your 1/4 cup Flour with 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper, and 1 Tablespoon Salt. Take your seasoned Flour mixture and coat your 2 8 oz Pork Chops. In a Cast Iron Frying Pan add 5 Tablespoons Cooking Oil and bring the oil up to medium high heat. Place your Breaded Pork Chops into the hot oil. Cook on one side until golden brown and flip on to the uncooked side and repeat the process. When the Pork Chops are fully cooked remove them from the hot oil. After the Pork Chops have beem removed add 1/2 Stick Butter to your Fry Pan and 1/8 cup of Flour and make a Roux. Add the 1 Tablespoon Crushed Garlic,8 oz Fresh Baby Bella Mushrooms sliced, 1 White Onion sliced, 5 Rounds Black Pepper, and salt to taste. Deglaze the pan with 1/2 Cup Red or Port Wine. Stir the sauce on medium heat until the Mushroom and onions are cooked, then add the 1/8 cup of Cream, and the 1/8 cup of Cream. Place the cooked Pork Chops in the sauce and reduce the sauce over medium heat for 5 min.
