Here’s a Little History about Gin. Gin was first distilled by a Dutch Scientist Dr. Franciscus Sylvus back in the 16th century. This gin attempted to purify the blood of people suffering from kidney disease. Sylvus called his medicine Genièvre, French for juniper. Large Scale production of gin in England soon began as King William III used his hate against France. This new alcoholic drink made gin affordable for the common man. Today most American drink gin served with tonic which contains quinine. Quinine is malaria treatment that was used in World War II by the solders that contracted malaria fighting in the Pacific. This gin and tonic is a very tasty cocktail and The Bald Chef likes it alot.

 

Ingredients And How To Make A Gin And Tonic

One rocks glass filled with cubed ice

1 1/2 oz Bombay Gin or any Gin you like

fill with tonic water

top with a slice of lime

serve and enjoy!
