Great Regional Thai Food And Recipes

Geographically, Thailand is a very diverse country. Thai’s like to divide there county into four regions. The Thai Central region is a large delta area, set near the Chao Phraya River. Southern Thailand is in the form of a peninsula on the Gulf of Thailand just north of Malaysia and is where Phuket is located . The Northern part of Thailand is cooler and more mountainous the main city is Chiang Mai. Northeastern Thailand is a plateau set near the Mekong River. Each region has its own distinct foods, recipes, and landscapes. In southern Thailand the food centers around fresh seafood from the surrounding waters. Northern Thai curries are milder than those of the Central and Southern Thailand. Geographically, Thailand is a very diverse country. Thai’s like to divide their county into four regions.
