The Evan Williams Bourbon is cheaper but does it taste better? Well we asked the viewers and they said: “I like Jim Beam Riven i can find it. Jack Daniels taste miles better in my opinion. What The Votes Come In The Best Bourbon Jim Beam Or Evan Williams
So I put up the test for the best Bourbon Jim Beam Or Evan Williams and here are the results:
-
- Mike Voted EW, JM and Jack are very similar whisky blends, only difference is Jim Beam and Evan Williams are bourbons, and Jack is not. Still, they taste similar and anyone that says one sucks and one is great is an idiot! And by the way all of these are great with coke or ginger ale as a mixer. If you want it on the rocks, neat or with a splash of spring water, then I prefer Crown Royal, Makers, and woodford reserve. But the absolute best is Pappy Van Winkle, I swear that stuff HEAVEN!
- bourbon tasting… With Coke??? How can you tell which is better if you are ruining it before you taste it? When you add coke to bourbon you are diluting it and masking any and all individual characteristics either one of these already mediocre bourbons have. Try them neat and then decide which tastes better. Then go get yourself a bottle of Four Roses Small Batch. Boom, mind blown
- Daniel Voted Your friend could correctly differentiate the two bourbons, even mixed with coke, so that right there should tell you that they really don’t taste very similar at all. That said, I imagine it’s a matter of personal taste more than anything. I used to drink Crown Royal, then Seagrams 7 (before finally growing up and into grown-up drinks) Jack Daniels is good stuff, but so far as bourbons go I greatly prefer Evan Williams over Jim Beam- it’s more comparable to maybe W.L. Wellers than to Jim Beam (I am of the opinion that a great deal of Jim Beam’s success is due to brand recognition/advertising/etc. – and not so much it’s own merits). Evan Williams is a really wonderful bourbon that tastes great mixed with Coca~Cola or just neat. -Just my two-cents worth, thanks for the video.
- Bib Voted I’m actually drinking Evan Williams and coke right now and just so happened to stumble upon this video! Over the passed month I’ve thought about how similar they are, and I honestly couldn’t tell a difference except for price. However, I’ve just recently been drinking whiskey… I’ll leave the taste test to the pros, hahaha. Nice test, btw!
- Gen Voted Beam white label is easier to drink neat, but a little less flavor than Evan. Evan is a bit cranked-up…a bit harsher but more flavor and very affordable. Both are great, I’d go with Evan!
