These homemade gyros are just as good as any you’ll find in a Greek restaurant, and the recipe is simple to follow. The Bald Chef couldn’t find a spit to cook the gyros on, so he came up with the idea of making them in his oven.
1 red onion
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp Italian parsley
4 cloves of garlic
1 tsp sea salt
1 lb ground lamb
1 lb ground beef
1/4 English cucumber, shredded and seeded
6 oz no-fat plain Greek yogurt
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp minced garlic
