The Bald Chef loves this hearty beef stew made with rib roast beef , shallots, onions, and Button Mushrooms all cooked in Burgundy wine.   • 2 lbs of cubed beef rib roast
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin oil
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/2 tablespoons of chopped Bay leaf
  • 3 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 16 oz. of Button Mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 1/2 cups Burgundy wine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 large shallots

French Beef Bourguignon Recipe

Cooking Instructions For French Beef Bourguignon Recipe

Cut your 2 lbs of beef rib roast into 3/4″ cubes. Prepare the flour by mixing in the 1 tablespoons sea salt, and black pepper. Coat the cut beef rib roast in the seasoned flour mix. In a large stock pot bring to medium heat and add 3 tablespoons extra virgin oil, then brown the cut beef rib chunks. Add 2 1/2 cups Burgundy wine, 1 teaspoon celery seed, 1 teaspoon thyme, 3 tablespoons garlic minced, and the Bay leaf. Cook the Beef Bourguignon for one hour on low heat. Then add the onions, 2 large shallots, and 16 oz. of washed Button Mushrooms. Cook the Beef Bourguignon for 1/2 more hour and serve on rice or noodles.
